Springfield Lakes Nature Care obtained a grant from the Federal Government to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee to honour The Queen’s 70 years of service to Australia & the Commonwealth. The project will leave a legacy of The Queen by planting endemic species to enhance the tree canopy in Opossum Creek Parklands for all Australians to enjoy now & into the future.
Come & learn about the plans we have & sign up for several community planting events which will take place this year.
Grab a FREE coffee or tea from Angie’s Barrista Koffee & enjoy morning tea fit for a Queen. Displays showcasing our Bushcare Rehabilitation Project, free gift bag containing “Birdwalks of Greater Springfield” booklet will be available. We’ll have some hands on activities for the kids. There’s the dog park & children’s playground nearby, so you can spend some time in the park afterwards taking a walk along Opossum Creek. Great for the kids.
