Springfield City’s Zero Net Energy Vision means that by 2038, the six suburbs that make up the Springfield City will be generating more energy than they consume.

It’s an exciting challenge but chasing the ultimate goal of exploring innovative ways to deal with energy and deliver better city ideas across Springfield City. It will engage the community, stakeholders, government and others to deliver innovative goals.

The investments are being planned in renewable energy generation and storage infrastructure, district energy schemes, green mobility solutions, digital technology, energy efficiency initiatives and a dedicated research and innovation centre.
