A focus on health and wellness in Australia’s fastest growing corridor has lured medical and allied health professionals who have responded to a pandemic-led population boom in Greater Springfield.
Springfield City Group (SCG) has reported buyers are securing suites close to the Mater Private Hospital, with values soaring to $11,000 per square metre at Springfield Central’s Health City and a growing wait list on other planned buildings in the precinct.
SCG Deputy Managing Director Umah Ranchigoda said careful master-planning by the group was attracting huge demand with price growth
She said it is also supported by significant population growth in Greater Springfield and surrounding suburbs, with the latest census data showing a 4.9 per cent jump in the year to 2021, compared to 0.9 per cent in Queensland over the same period.
“Queensland has recorded the fastest growth of any State or Territory in Australia during the pandemic, but in addition to the population growth in Greater Springfield and the surrounding areas, the Springfield postcode also boasts Queensland’s third highest birth rate, with 1,214 births recorded in 2021,” Ms Ranchigoda said.
“Along with this growth there has been a huge demand for services. As part of Greater Springfield’s careful master planning, we’ve enabled specialists and allied medical groups to meet growing health needs within the region by facilitating these key health and wellness professionals to establish suites within Springfield Central’s Health City and close to the Mater Private Hospital.”
“What it means is residents can now enjoy the provision of more medical services within minutes of where they live. Greater Springfield’s Health City is planned to accommodate health and wellness facilities across 52 hectares as part of a world leading master-planned health and wellness precinct.”
“It is expected a larger number of investors will be looking to build a new business or expand current businesses within Springfield Central’s Health City because of its cutting-edge approach which provides easy access, complimentary medical services and the highest level of care for health consumers.”
“We’ve designed Springfield Central’s Health City to be a world-leading integrated health precinct. It is underpinned by health promotion and wellness, whilst serving as a major global leading medical, research and innovation hub.
“Springfield City Group has been focused on establishing synergies and relationships between people and Organisations that facilitate idea generation and accelerate commercialisation.
“We have developed Greater Springfield’s Knowledge Precinct, which is built on health, education and innovation solutions that will boost Queensland’s economy and provide jobs.”
