Discover Springfield City

The Springfield Train Line connects Springfield City to the wider Brisbane, Gold Coast and Ipswich regions. The Springfield Train Line, featuring both Springfield Central Station and Springfield Station, allows commuters to travel to Brisbane Central Station in less than 41 minutes and onto the Gold Coast, Brisbane domestic and international airports.

Springfield Central Station is connected via road and pedestrian walkways to Orion Springfield Central, Robelle Domain Parklands and Orion Lagoon, Education City, Health City and Park Avenue Apartments. The local Springfield Station provides access to Springfield and Springfield Lakes and is directly adjacent to Woodcrest College.

The Springfield Train Station development project comprises:

  • two crossings under the Centenary Highway from Springfield station to the Orion Shopping Centre,  
  • a dedicated pedestrian and cycle path connecting Richlands to the Springfield community,  
  • Park’n’Ride spaces at both Springfield (100) and Springfield Lakes (200),  
  • a 3.5m wide cycle track between Julie Road and Springfield Lakes,  
  • bicycle lockers and racks,  
  • disability access and CCTV coverage of all areas.
