Health City Springfield Central is the designated central core of the health and wellness offering in Springfield City.  

Adjacent to Health City Springfield Central is the Springfield Central State High School that will be delivering a health curriculum, which will teach students the keys to healthy living as well as introductions to the opportunities for employment in the health industry.  

In fact, Health City is completely dedicated to all forms of human health in one, modern location, complementing the overall planning of Springfield City which applies a conscious approach to creating an environment where people can live active lives within a wellness focused community.  

A healthy and vibrant lifestyle is the mantra of Springfield City. Investment has been made into the development of open spaces, parks and bikeways, sustainable developments, as well as the incorporation of healthy community initiatives and various other forms of activities.  

In Health City Springfield Central plans are underway to bring together health service providers, researchers, investors and government stakeholders into a world-class Springfield ecosystem, to be known as the Innovative Medical Hub. 

Health City Springfield Central is also part of the Knowledge Precinct where Health, Education, and Innovation collide to facilitate idea generation and accelerates commercialisation.

The Greater Springfield Specialists Suites is also located here offering medical professionals the ideal location for their services. 

The Mater Private Hospital Springfield aims to provide care to both private and public patients, providing a hub of world-class medical services for the entire Springfield City community. The State Government will partner with Mater Health Services to deliver a new 174 bed public hospital in Springfield City to cater for the rapidly growing population.  

The new Mater Public Hospital Springfield, an expansion on the current private hospital, would also include an Emergency Department, an Intensive Care Unit, Maternity service and more procedural areas and is planned to open 2026.
